I use my thumb for the "F#" (the low 2).  Pull the "B" off to "A"
or the "A" to the "E" to add some color. More notes at the bottom.

I play this down an octave or drop the chord and move my hand up
for a moment.

You might be able to play the flourishes better if you move the
capo to the 8th fret and D chords to A chords.
The problem is you can’t play the G# in the bass
