Song: What Makes a Man
Band: City and Colour
Tuning: Standard - Capo on the 1st fret

Based on a live performance I saw on MuchMusic, this isn't how Dallas plays the
song live. This is what sounds good when playing along to my CD, though. Obviously
there's a lot of improvisation when playing this song, but this is the gist of it
- and this sounds pretty close to the CD version. The brackets illustrate finger
placement.

The song continues like that through the second verse up until the part of the
song with the background vocals. That part of the song goes back and forth between
the C and D twice without the Em, before playing the Em like the verses. It goes
likes this: (I hope the lyrics don't make it look to sloppy. Hopefully it helps
you follow along with the song.)

Sorry...this is not even close to the CD version. Whoever rated this a 5 needs their ears checked because I'm hearing something way different.

nice tab.. it's a good first proper tab for the song.. there's a few errors and easy bits to change, like jst on the first intro bit he plays an open B string not open G.. just fiddly bits, nice attempt tho!

lllostmotelll, do you have a capo on the 1st fret?
I should also note, this tab is far too precise. I just tried to illustrate which strings the hammers and pulls are played on. When I play this song, I don't really pay close attention to what I'm doing. Your thumb should be slapping the low E string, not necessarily plucking the A. Your index and middle finger should be pulling up on the B and G (primarily), but there's a ton of improv throughout the song.
